ABOUT KELLY COLLIS
Kelly Collis is the Co-Host of the Tommy Morning Show on 94.7 Fresh FM since 2011. She loves talking with the Fresh Family about parenting, relationships, Washington sports teams especially the Nationals, celebrity gossip, hating on millennials and playing the trivia contest “Can’t Beat Kelly” every morning at 7:30 and 8:30 am. She is a frequent writer and TV contributor on trends in fashion, shopping and dining including a co-author of a monthly column in the Washingtonian Magazine on happenings in the DC area. In 2008, after working several years in public relations and marketing in the DC area, she launched the web site CityShopGirl.com as the only subscription email publication delivering updates on lifestyle events in the D.C. area growing a following of 20,000 women in the DC area. It was because of this venture she meet and became very good friends with Tommy McFLY (aka the Tommy from the Tommy Show).
In 2011 and 2012, she was named as top influencer on Twitter by the Washington Post. CityShopGirl has been mentioned as a site to watch by U.S. News and World Reports and named one of the top 10 blogs in the DC area by Capitol File Magazine. Washington Life Magazine named her one of the most influential people under 40 for 3 years in a row. In 2018, Modern Luxury Magazine feature her as one of 5 in their annual "Women of Style" issues.
Prior to launching CityShopGirl, Kelly worked as Director of Marketing for National Jean Company, a nation wide women’s retailer. Kelly was also a partner at DBC Public Relations for five years where she counseled both private and public companies in the consumer and media sectors.
A native of Washington, D.C., Kelly graduated with a BA in economics from Trinity College in Hartford, CT. She loves spending time with her 2 children and dogs and going to Washington Nationals games. She recently remarried and expanded her family with 2 teenage daughters. Other hobbies include finding great brunch spots, believing in the fountain of youth and enjoying lazy days at the beach.
