CityShopGirl and TBD

We are excited to announce that CityShopGirl has entered into a promotional agreement with a brand new site set to launch later this summer called TBD.com.

Like when its sister site, Politico, launched a few years ago, TBD is a new concept, using cutting edge tools of web content, combining the brightest minds in journalism – including traditional reporters and bloggers – with a twist of entrepreneurial spirit, which make a great fit for CityShopGirl.

TBD will focus on hyperlocal content – this means all things DC from Reston to Rockville. The online content will be paired with content from their sister TV stations ABC’s WJLA and NewsChannel 8. CityShopGirl will be part of TBD’s Arts & Entertainment section and will be providing, exclusively at launch, all fashion and shopping content.

CityShopGirl launched in October 2008 as a daily email, Monday-Friday, with just a few hundred subscribers and today we reach a targeted audience of thousands of women in DC. We provide the latest of things to do in DC, often with exclusive deals and promotions, from shopping to spas. Over the last year, we have expanded our content with more blog postings on fashion and shopping and hosting fun events with local vendors like our annual scavenger hunt and Sex & the City Party last month .

If you are a CityShopGirl email subscriber, you will see a few minor changes in the layout of the email and on our site in the coming weeks. The changes will include relevant and well-integrated advertising (we have to make money somehow!). We will still be providing information on great finds and cool events happening around the city. We respect your trust in sharing your email address with us, we are committed to deliver only the best to your inbox each day. In addition, there will be more regular articles on our blog around fashion, shopping, restaurants and spas that will be shared with both the CityShopGirl and TBD audience.
