Sex and The City in DC

Amy as Carrie

Amy works for a defense contractor and her office is in the Pentagon. Originally from New Jersey, she lives in Arlington with her husband. Amy met her husband through friends in New York and despite living in different states, decided to stay in a long distance relationship for three years, until she finally moved to D.C. in October of 2006. With a baby on the way and her one-year wedding anniversary coming up in July, Amy’s life is filled with exciting things to come. A spitting image of Carrie, Amy just seemed to fit the part. Not only does Amy look just like Carrie, she loves shoes just like her too! After working for Steve Madden in her early twenties, Amy has accumulated almost two bedrooms full of shoes. She also loves to read, shop, and spend time with her family, especially her two nephews. A married-in Virginia Tech Hokie fan, Amy also loves sports.

Abby as Miranda

Abby is the Director of Community Relations for WJLA, DC ABC’s affiliate, originally from Massachusetts, she lives in Adams Morgan with her pup, Tony. She also is the Executive Producer of Those Guys and That Girl Films which examines the Latino experience in American culture. They released their first feature film, CRUZANDO, last year. Abby’s looks and style resemble Miranda, as well as her attitude. She has strong career goals, which is the reason for her no nonsense business type attitude, however she’s always ready to take on a night on the town with her girlfriends. She’s often the voice of reason, always there to coach her friends on their relationships. Reading, running, yoga, theatre, and brunch with her girlfriends are some of Abby’s favorite things to do. In addition to her job at WJLA and her film company, Abby loves to give back to the community and volunteer, serving on the Board of Directors at the Cultural Development Corporation.

Leigh as Charlotte

Born and raised in D.C., Leigh is the Director of Training and Development for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a mother of a two-year-old girl, and lives in NW DC Like Charlotte, Leigh never thought she’d get married, always referring to Charlotte’s famous words: “I’ve been dating since I was fifteen! I’m exhausted! Where is he?” But after meeting her husband through a friend, she got married at the age of 36. She wasted no time, and one year after her marriage gave birth to her daughter. She hopes people see her as Charlotte- sweet, girly, classy, but wild and fun! Leigh loves to read, cook, entertain, and be with her family. One of Leigh’s passions is renovating homes and she even took a class to learn how to lay tile. A real entrepreneur at heart, Leigh is thinking about starting her own business. Leigh makes time to take a yearly trip to New Orleans with her two sisters and mother, where the motto is “Eat, Drink, and Gamble”!

Stef as Samantha

Stef is the perfect fit for Samantha! She lives in the city, she talks about her love life, and is always giving relationship advice to her friends. An attorney, Stef spends her time going out to the great restaurants; writing; laughing with her girlfriends; helping others; and walking. Her perfect DC time is in Georgetown sitting on a bench on the waterfront with a Baked and Wired cupcake and rescue Bichon, Flake. She is single and loving it, however, she does admit that when she finds love, she falls hard. Stef loves to enjoy life and share her stories with her girlfriends, who are her family.
